FOR HOPE

Camp Alex is a special summer camp program hosted by the Alex Blackwood Foundation for HOPE along with Arkansas Childrens Hospital Center for Good Mourning. Camp Alex will provide a fun filled, healing environment for children and teens whose lives have been affected by suicide.  Our camp will provide a unique opportunity to connect with other survivors and develop lasting friendships while learning valuable coping skills to use in their everyday lives back home.

By partnering with scenic Ferncliff Camp just outside of Little Rock and the grief experts with the Center for Good Mourning at Arkansas Chidren's Hospital, the Alex Blackwood Foundation for Hope has created a fun, safe and healing environment for grieving kids and youth whose lives have been affected by suicide.  Our campers will meet other kids who have been through similar experiences and who understand. Because everyone at Camp Alex has suffered a loss to suicide, they can relate on a level that few others will ever understand.
